Hajstorp's rest stop has both a fire pit and a wind shelter, which makes it suitable for a stop on any day of the year. Although Hajstorp can be crowded on fine summer days, it is usually quiet and peaceful by the wind shelter located in the grove of trees on the south-west side of the canal.

The rest stop lies south of the campsite and the cabins, and on the other side of the canal is Hajstorp's lock café & hostel. There you can buy a simple lunch, coffee and pastries, if you haven't brought your own.

Those who wish to sleep outdoors can stay overnight in the shelter, but remember to leave it just as you yourself would have wanted to find it.
