The rest stop in Sjötorp is on the south side of the canal, down by Lake Vänern. Here you will find both a fire pit and a wind shelter, making it suitable for use in any season.

It is a good starting or ending point for those who wish to cycle or hike the Göta Canal trail, and the wind shelter offers overnight accommodation for those who wish to sleep outdoors. However, please leave both the shelter and the fire pit just as you yourself would have wanted to find them.
