Experience industrial history environments

The canal town of Forsvik

The history of Forsvik begins roughly 600 years back in time. The town is known for being one of Sweden's oldest industrial areas. Today it is one of Göta Canal's pearls and offers a wide range of food, activities and accommodation options.

Here is also the canal's oldest lock and Sweden's first iron bridge. Experience when the boats are locked with a drop height of 3.5 meters while you stroll around among Forsvik's cozy cafes. Don't forget to visit Forsviks Bruk to take part in the town's solid history.
